Meet the new Design Team members

It is time for you to meet our new design team members.

I am an avid, happy & dedicated card maker & scrap booker, and hopefully my creativity does inspire other gals.  I have been creating with patterned paper since April 2003, & really not a day goes by when I don’t work on some paper, canvas, card…or sometimes I just blog, or look at other scrappers styles, or peruse the internet for papers, brands & all the newest techniques.  But still I love some older techniques which can be incorporated into a new page or card. I love working with whole kits, but then I love to jumble them all up too.  I am messy, don’t have straight lines, love adding stitching to most cards or pages, love bright, bright colours but then also I have taken to working on a lot of monotone LO’s as well – you can tell I am a Gemini, very versatile I think!! I also try to add love & warmth to each of my creations.

I believe I will add to your Design Team with my ‘inventiveness’ on my cards, I can design sketches for monthly challenges if needed, offer suggestions of ideas plus I will always add positive comments to other gals work.

I have my own blog, which I love playing with & shortly I am going to add a recipe tab …I am always cooking & decorating, so why not add that to my list of ‘achievements’? My blog’s address is - http://debisjoy.blogspot.com.au/

I work in media (heaven help me!) 28 hours a week, plus on a weekly fun, fun, fun Trivia team, walk with hubster and friends regularly, read, garden, look after 2 aging kitties, have wonderful family in town as well as Brissie, & rest rarely!

I am originally from New Zealand but have just celebrated my 10 year anniversary of living in Australia.  I am a stay at home mum to my little boy Sam.  I have been crafting since I can remember, cross stitch, beading, and scrap-booking + many, many more.  My main focus right now is card making and scrap-booking (mainly of my little man), as well as altered items and off the page. I don't think I could define my style as 1 particular type - I try everything and am always developing what I do and love learning new techniques.  I am looking forward to being part of the Feeling Sketchy team and hope I can inspire you.

Hi, I’m Sharyn and I live in Brisbane, Queensland with my husband of 39 years.  I have one son and one grandson.  I am now retired from full time employment but I did work for Telstra for over 20 years.

I started making cards in 2005 when I walked past a craft shop and saw all the wonderful greeting cards on display in their window and the rest, as they say, is history. I have dabbled a little in scrapbooking but my main love is card making. My style, while I appreciate all styles, would be classed as cute.

My other interests are repairing and upgrading computers, crochet, reading and watching the footy.

I've been married to my hubby for 27 years.  We have two adult children.

We live in MN.  We also have 2 cats and 1 dog.

I have been doing crafts pretty much all my life.  Love it!  I do just about all kinds of crafts.

I was into making cards quite a few years ago...but got away from doing it.

I got back into it again in the beginning of January of this year.  Can't get enough.

Hi Sketchies,

We have some exciting new changes happening at Feeling Sketchy in the next few weeks.
The first piece of news we have to share is the addition of four new DT members joining us to bring you some additional inspiration each challenge along with the existing DT. We will introduce these wonderfully talented ladies Sharyn, Dani, Morgyn and Debi to you all in the next few weeks.

~Introducing Jessica Doyle!~

Hey! I'm Jess, and I'm a 25 year old papercraft nut from Newcastle, New South Wales (3hrs north of Sydney.) I live with my best friend and our two beautiful fur babies, cats Tommy and Toby. 

I come from a very artistic family with my maternal grandparents both working as commercial artists, back in the day. Since I was a child, my mum has tried to get me interested in a crafty hobby, and up until 5years ago, I had very little interest in anything crafty or hands on. Then I discovered Scrapbooking, and quickly moved onto making cards. I love making cards as I tend to find the bigger canvas size of a 12x12 scrapbook page can be quite daunting.

I am currently on the Design Team for The Stamp Spot, with Jessica T.

Hi! My name is Jessica! I am 27yrs old and I live in country Victoria with my husband (and best friend) John. We have 3 beautiful girls, Aimee 7yrs Charlotte 3yrs and Ella 18months old who keep me rather busy. We also have a collection of chooks, ducks, goats, a cat Lucy, a black lab named Maggie, and the newest addition is a turtle named 'poppy'.

I started scrapbooking when Aimee was born in 2004 but over the years I turned to cardmaking as its quicker and a smaller canvas to work on... plus with 3 busy girls I dont have as much spare time as I used to! I love all the new products constantly coming onto the market... sadly there is too much to collect it all!

I'm a quirky 25 year old with a stamp addiction. I have been crafting for about 2 and a half years now. I enjoy learning and trying new crafts and techniques, not to mention supplies! I love animals, photography and making new friends. I hope you like my creations and that this challenge inspires you to create and share yourself on blogworld! I've found it a wonderful community to belong and cherish the friends I have made through blogging and crafting!

~Introducing Michelle Boyd!~

My name is Michelle (aka whirligig), I am married and have 4 kids under the age of 9. I enjoy all types of crafting and I always seem to have several projects on the go at once. I am relatively new to the paper craft world as I have been card making for about 7 months. I was introduced to cards (by our delightful friend Jessica T) in August 2011 when I was invited to a card making night. I have been addicted ever since. I decided to try my hand at Scrapbooking about a month ago and really love creating special pages for my little darlings. I love the idea of recording memories in this way. I love having ink stains on my fingers and use plenty of pretty sparkly items, glitter and pearls. I am always on the look out for beautiful ribbons and I love twine. The die cutting and embossing machine (Big Shot- which I call my "Whirligig" hence the name) is one of my favourite pieces of equipment (along with my stamps).

I love trying new techniques and layouts, and love looking for new colour combinations.
